About the Official
Javonni Butler was appointed as the District 2 representative for the Whitewater City Council. Butler is currently majoring in political science with a minor in history at the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. He was also the President of the Young Americans for Liberty and a member of the UW-Whitewater Optimist Club.
Among his reasons for taking office, Butler wants to make sure that the students have a voice in the city council. A few of the legislative goals he has are to push the bar time back an hour, possibly get weekly pick-up of recycling in District 2, and to improve the nightlife to get students to stay on weekends more often in order to increase in city revenue.
